Safe electricity for your cottage – without worries

Electricity that works discreetly and safely – even when you’re not around.

What this means for the user

  • 230 V equipment
  • Self-regulation
  • Automatic cut-off

This is not an experimental system, but a system where safety is the starting point - not an optional extra.

Ordinary 230 V equipment

Self-monitoring

Cuts off the power in the event of a fault

🧍‍♂️ Protecting people always comes first

30 mA residual current device

Cuts off the power immediately if a leakage current is caused by a person or moisture

Short-circuit and overload protection

Prevents overheating of wiring and equipment

Touch-protected construction

No bare connectors or dangerous voltages within the user’s reach

All touchable parts are protected

Also battery also in a sealed case, which can be locked

In practice

You can use the equipment normally, without having to understand electrical engineering.

🔧The system also protects itself

Constantly monitors

Wattium constantly monitors:

  • voltage

  • Power

  • Temperature

Limit or stop

If any value exceeds the allowed limit:
➡️ power is limited or
➡️ the system stops in a controlled manner

Prevents damage

This prevents:

  • equipment damage

  • premature battery wear

  • incidents in exceptional circumstances

In practice

In everyday life, you can’t always anticipate everything – your appliance could break or a digger could snap a cable.

Wattium constantly monitors its own state and protects itself from failure.

🔋 Safe battery technology

Safe battery technology

Wattium uses LiFeYPO₄ batteries, which are:

  • chemically stable
  • do not ignite or explode like some lithium batteries
  • safe also indoors
  • Battery works in temperatures down to -45C
  • A quality and respected industrial battery that can take the strain
Monitoring per sensor

A cell-specific module keeps cell reserves in balance

It also monitors the status of the cells

If a single cell exceeds the safety limits, the whole device is switched off

Overshoot and overcharge protection

It is very easy for the user to understand and manage the battery charge status

When there is not enough from the panels, the aggregate can fill the gap

The device goes into sleep mode if the battery is almost empty

Returns to supply mode when voltage rises or user commands

Inverters also prevent voltage supply if the battery is almost empty

Connectors to prevent misconnection

No bare connectors or dangerous voltages within the user’s reach

The battery is in a sealed case that can be locked

In practice

This is one of the main differences to cheap DIY solutions.

❄️ Safety does not depend on the internet or the weather

Works even without internet

Device functions are local, no decisions are made online

Therefore, even a disconnection from the internet does not prevent access to electricity

The mobile phone can be used to monitor the device locally

Designed for the cold

If you can’t get to the cottage, the battery will still last through the winter if you cut the power.

Battery self-discharge is only 1% per month

The battery does not cut power below -20 C like many other devices do

Charging below 0 C without heating

Clear main switches

Main switch for battery and panels

230 V supply main switch

230 V connectors, as an additional safety device for disconnecting power

Controlled aggregate modes

If the aggregate goes into protection mode it will be detected

Aggregate shutdown is also detected

Hour counters for your aggregate – avoid unexpected tank draining

In practice

Remote monitoring is a complement – not a prerequisite – for safe operations.

The performance of the device has been refined over years of real winter use.

🆚 Not all off-grid systems are the same

It's always worth asking:

  • Does the system have a residual current device?

  • Does the power automatically cut off in the event of a fault?

  • Is the battery safe indoors?

  • How is the battery protected and how do you exit the protected area?
  • Are temperature and load continuously monitored?

If the answers are unclear, the risk remains with the user.

Security is not a feature – it’s a starting point

Wattium is designed for people who want:

  • cottage electricity to work reliably

  • without constant adjustment

  • and above all safely
