This is the Company’s register and data protection statement in accordance with the Personal Data Act (Sections 10 and 24) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Last modified on 6.5.2025.

This Privacy Policy applies to all services provided by Wattium Oy.

General information

Our aim is for you to feel secure that your personal data is respected and that your personal data is processed in the right way. We take responsibility for ensuring that personal data processed by Wattium Ltd is only used for the purposes for which it is intended and is protected against unauthorised access.

We want to ensure that the whole data protection process is open and transparent. By doing business with us, you agree that we store and use your data to fulfil and process orders and to serve you. You have the right to access your data. If you believe that your data is incorrect or you no longer wish us to keep your data, you can request rectification or deletion from our customer register.

In this Privacy Notice, we will tell you in detail about this process.

Collection and use of personal data

We process as little personal data as possible and only to the extent that it is necessary for our business and to provide our services.

This means that we process personal data for the purposes of customer communication and relations, billing, marketing or advertising and other business activities. We also process personal data where it is necessary for the preparation and performance of customer contracts, where we are required to do so by law or where our legitimate interests so permit. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing prior to withdrawal. We process personal data that is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate business interests.

This includes contract information, purchase information and customer interest and data that we can use to market our products. For this purpose, we process the information in accordance with the General Data Protection Principles. As a customer of Wattium Ltd, you can object to such processing at any time by contacting us.

The information we collect may include contact information, billing information or other relevant customer information. We maintain databases in which we store contact and commercial information that you have provided to us in connection with the provision of our services.

We may enrich the information collected by using commercial data services to learn more about your business. We will retain personal data for the time necessary for the purposes for which it is processed, for as long as we are required to do so by law or until we receive a request to delete it, unless we are required to retain it or have a legitimate interest in retaining it.

Marketing and advertising

As a company, we advertise our products and services. We may contact you to market or advertise. We may also advertise on third party websites.

We may keep records of customer contact information to provide additional information about our products, to respond to enquiries and to market and sell our products.

We use third party services to process and store information that may contain personal data.

5.1 Regular data disclosures and data transfers outside the EU or EEA

Data is not regularly disclosed to other parties. Data may be published to the extent agreed with the customer.

Data may also be transferred outside the EU or EEA by the controller. For transfers to the United States, we use the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, which ensures compliance with European data protection standards.

In the context of acquisitions or mergers, the acquiring party may have access to relevant customer information.

Information security

Wattium Oy has appropriate technical and organisational security practices and processes in place to protect personal data from loss, misuse or other similar unlawful access.

The register is processed with due care and the data processed by the information systems are adequately protected. Where the data are stored on Internet servers, the physical and digital security of their hardware shall be adequately ensured.

The controller shall ensure that stored data, server access rights and other information critical to the security of personal data are treated confidentially and only by employees whose job description includes this.

Rights

You have the right to access your personal data and have inaccurate information about you corrected. You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data at any time, unless our legitimate interests or a legal requirement prevent the deletion of some personal data. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Every person in the register has the right to check the information stored in the register and to request the correction of any inaccurate or incomplete information.

A person in the register also has the right to request the erasure of personal data concerning him or her from the register (“right to be forgotten”). Data subjects also have other rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, such as the restriction of processing of personal data in certain circumstances.

If a person wishes to check, delete or request rectification of data stored about him or her, the request must be sent in writing to the controller. The controller may, if necessary, ask the applicant to prove his or her identity. The controller will reply to the customer within the time limit set by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (as a general rule, within one month).

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is sent to and stored on a user’s computer and enables, among other things, basic website functions and helps to identify visitors to the website. This identification information allows us to continuously improve the content of our site and to target the content of interest to the visitor. Cookies do not harm users’ terminal equipment or files.

We use cookies on our website to improve the user experience or to help track traffic on Wattium Oy’s website. We may also use cookies to enhance, personalise and advertise the site. Website analysis and advertising cookies

To obtain additional information about traffic on our website, we use an analytics and advertising tool provided by a third party.

The Wattium Oy website at wattium.fi uses the Google Analytics web analytics service provided by Google Inc (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies to analyse how users use the website.

Facebook tracking cookies are also used.

9.1 Google Analytics

The information generated by the cookie about how you use the website (including your IP address) is sent to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

Google will use this information on behalf of the website provider to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website traffic for website providers and to provide other services relating to website traffic and website use for the website provider.

You can prevent Google from collecting and using your data (cookies and IP addresses) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available here: or by using other ad and tracking blocking tools.

The anonymous visitor statistics provided by Google Analytics are based on purely technical data transmitted by your browser and your internet connection, and do not provide any information about the visitor as a person. In addition to technical statistics, demographic and subject reporting collects personal target group information such as age and gender, as well as subject information on interests.

The reports show how many people visit the site in a given period and how their behaviour varies, for example by gender. The information in the reports is obtained from a third-party cookie from DoubleClick. If the cookie is not associated with a particular user, the statistics cannot be used to infer target group information and topics. The Site uses the audience and subject reporting information collected to design topics to provide readers with content and products that are of interest to them. If you wish, you can prevent the use of Google Analytics by using the browser extension.

9.2 Facebook

The website uses a Facebook pixel, which is essentially a snippet of code on the page that is used to remarket the website on Facebook. The pixel allows ads to be shown to just the right people and to create target audiences for advertising. The pixel does not identify visitors as individuals, they remain anonymous to the webmaster.

9.3 Community Affiliates

Our website may contain links and connections to third party websites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Google+ and Twitter. Content that comes through them is downloaded from third-party servers.
