It all started with your own needs
Wattium’s story begins at his summer cottage in 2012. The background was a promise to the family that the cottage they bought then would have electricity and a working kitchen. All this had to be done without an electricity connection, as this would have been very expensive.
Even the best components did not make a good
The best available components were bought for the cottage: a Victron Multiplus 3000 inverter charger, Honda’s best inverter aggregate EU65, a lead-acid battery weighing at best about 450kg and of course solar panels and a battery charge controller.
Despite the best commercial solutions available, we were surprised at the effort required to maintain the system. The system had to be constantly monitored, the aggregate had to be started and components had to be adjusted. The solutions offered a poor alternative, especially for reliable and easy use by the whole family.
Patented technology
We found the solutions and we want to share them
Years of analysis, study and development resulted in Wattium’s own automated solution and system that solved the above challenges. The system has been running the electricity in the cottage since 2018 without a care in the world.
In 2020, a patent was granted for the solution and now our technology offers truly usable renewable energy to anyone who wants it.
The picture above shows a cottage kitchen made possible by the Wattium electricity solution. The kitchen has been in use for many years and has never had to experience a power cut during that time.
